Chinese Tattoos

The Chinese Tattoos and the Japanese Tattoos are very popular styles of tattoo. While their appeal may be related to a more limited demographic, they are still very appealing and often offer a unique perspective in the person who wears them. It must be noted however, that when you are getting the Chinese Symbol Tattoos, the Kanji Tattoos or other symbol tattoos, it is best if you get them from a tattoo artist that you know and can trust. While it is the exception rather than the rule when getting the Tattoos inked, more than one person has found themselves with poorly drawn Asian tattoos that (to anyone who can read the language at least) is not all that it was cracked up to be.

Most of the Chinese Tattoos and the old tribal tattoos are symbolic of relevant points in their history and like the languages, convey meanings well beyond the simple words expressed in the Symbol Tattoos. The Dragon Tattoos are symbolic of power and strength. Zodiac Tattoos are representative of the different aspects of the Zodiac that they represent, whether according to the Asian Zodiac symbols or the ancient Greek and (Hellenistic) Roman Zodiac symbols. Unlike these (relative) simple symbolisms, the Chinese Character Tattoos portray both actual words as well while conveying a much deeper meaning at the same time. This can be especially true when certain Chinese Characters are put together to form a longer tattoo such as with Chinese names that many Westerners take on.

For example, one person has the Chinese name of Tai Ming Ri as given to him by his Chinese Students and has had it emblazoned across his chest with a Chinese Symbol Tattoo. While each of these Chinese symbols in his tattoo has a special meaning, together they mean someone who is very intelligent, thoughtful and always working towards a better future. When the Chinese symbol for Tai is put together with the symbol for Chi (Or more commonly Ji in China) it takes on an entirely different meaning altogether. While each of the symbols holds a meaning unique to the word represented by the individual symbol, when they are put together, the Chinese Tattoo conveys a much more powerful and meaningful explanation of the person who wears the Symbolic Tattoo.

The Yin and Yang tattoo is also very popular and is yet another example of the Chinese Tattoos that many people wear. In this case, the symbol is representative of the ability to strike a balance between all things. The Tai Chi or Tai Ji Tattoo created using the symbols on the other hand, has a much more comprehensive meaning. It represents someone who is always seeking out that very same balance but who is also a master of their own mind and their own body. Again, as opposed to the simple Asian tattoo created with pictures, the Chinese tattoos created with symbols offer many more options and possibilities for expressing oneself and at the same time, allowing them to have an incredibly beautiful and often unique tattoo that is sure to be a point of interest among tattoo lovers everywhere.
